How It All Started

I always loved make up. Not so much wearing it, but buying it! Oh, how I love to go into the big beauty stores and spend hours looking through the shelves and trying new shades, make smudges on my hand and buy a couple new lipsticks or eye shadows... Those plastic little boxes with their mirrors and brushes are sometimes to die for!

I have a box full of lipsticks. All colours, all brands, from the cheapest to the most expensive. If I wasn't wearing any other make up, I would definitely wear my lipstick! Boom! I'm wearing it, kiss me! (lol)
My other love has been nail polish and my third one, and lately my biggest one, eye shadows.

Because of my customer-facing work in a luxury environment we always have to wear make up. For the past years I would settle with blusher and lipstick. But a few months ago I was looking myself in the mirror (don't all big decisions start with something like that?) and saw that my eyes are too small and are "decorated" with the most intense dark circles - a problem that always existed unfortunately.

So I decided that it's time to put on make up and it's time to light the lights; not with the Muppets, but with my make up case(s) and some videos from YouTube. I was never in favour of dark and intense colours, they don't suit me after all and I find them a bit scary. So I searched for something natural that I can wear at work, that would be subtle, yet impressive. And I found this:

Let me tell you a little about BreeLovesBeauty (Cambria). She is very young, still at school I suppose, from the U.S.A. obviously, vibrant, joyful and very beautiful. I have been watching her videos the last few months and I got many tips from her - especially from her monthly favourites videos! I want EVERYTHING!
From this first video I saw, I fell in love with the Too Faced Eyeshadow pallette and a few days later I bought it, together with the Too Faced primer! And I have to tell you, they are PERFECT!
I can make different combinations and they work perfectly together, these are great colours.

And although I didn't do it as perfectly as Cambria, I was very happy to hear everyone's praise at work when I tried that look! Hurrah!
